A delightful family home! Exactly what we needed to restore our energy levels. Badminton in the garden and Aperol Spritz on the terrace. Fondation Maeght and the Matisse chapel are a must.

We couldn't have hoped for a better, more homely base for our stay. Such a gorgeous setting and something remarkable is that the garden barely changed over the winter! Still lush & green and we got to see the gorgeous mimosa in bloom, all bright yellow & fluffy... and something more familiar - the daffodils just came up! We've experienced many adventures out & about and it's really given us a taste for more!

There's still so much for us to see and do here so we can't wait to return. One of the highlights of waking up for me has been the sunlight streaming in (particularly welcome in contrast to the dark and dull UK mornings we're used to!) and then opening up the French doors to listen to the orchestra of birds that surround us here in the trees. And they continue all day - just so lovely. Just outside, we marvelled at the sign of the wild boar in the woods and were inspired to see the locals foraging for mushrooms!
It's been a really special time here and an absolute paradise for our old boy Leo, who has relished chasing after intruders and snoozing in the shade on the cool stone. He's been living his best life!
St Paul de Vence will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we look forward to returning as soon as possible.
