I don't think anything prepares you for the views at Mas du baou, I think we all have a vision of what the perfect holiday and perfect villa should be in the South of France, this is the place where all those dreams are made.

Outside, the pool is a proper pool and you can swim proper lengths. It is also salt water so none of those nasty chemicals. Amazing outdoor areas where we spent most of our time, great BBQ. You can see the owners have put a lot of thought into living outside in the summer.

The house is rustic but classy. The kitchen has the most amazing French range and is superbly equipped. It is a chef's delight and more than capable for catering for a full house of guests. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into making this a great well equipped house and it shows in the small detail. 

The house is not isolated but is very private.

Our children stayed in the amazing gate house and friends stayed in the family apartment. The house is large enough for two families, three at a push, we never felt cramped and the house exudes charm and character, it's quirky and cosy!

The small town of Vence is a bustling town with great patisseries and coffee shops and is more then worth the 5 minute drive in for breakfast where you can sit in the square and watch the world by…… Madame's is the place for pastries and croissants. There are nice restaurants for lunch, the highlight of our trip was dinner at Monasterie Saint Martin, which is 5 minutes up the hill from the house, best to book but it was outstanding, as was Colombe d'Or in Saint Paul de Vence.

It really was the most memorable holiday, the house was sublime and we will definitely be back. 

My family and I recently enjoyed a vacation at Mas du Baou. We just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had. The house is beautifully located, very private and with the most amazing views, day and night, of the hills and sea. 

We enjoyed how easy it was to get to all the sights and how busy and vibrant Vence was, as a town both to shop and socialise in. 

The house itself suited us very well and felt very calm and comfortable with space for us all. The pool and gardens were very private, which we liked, and having the views and space made it feel very special. Having a large pool was great. 

All round we had a wonderful time and we look forward to coming back. 

The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked. We liked the pool (saltwater) with wonderful deck and views, and the surrounding nice chairs. The beds, beddings and towels are comfortable. The location is quiet and private, but not isolated, so close to a variety of sites.

It was great swimming in a proper size pool and then relaxing on a sunbed and enjoying a stunning view on to the sea. The rooms were very comfortable with modern bathrooms and spread across the property. I loved the fact that you could stay with so many people socialising around the pool and terrace and still find a quite place to read or work.

It was great cooking for the whole family in a well equipped kitchen and still be close to everyone.

The location was great with Vence cafés and shops just below and Nice, Antibes and the airport nearby.

We really liked the location of the villa, as well as the pool area and its size. The booking and payment process was excellent.
