This imposing 18th-century bastide set in extensive grounds was the first provencal home of Albert Camus ! Located close to L’Isle sur la Sorgue with alarge swimming pool, this property is an ideal setting for a large family or group of friends or as a venue for a wedding or a business event.

Built in 1736 and very recently renovated throughout to a high standard, this bastide is set in large grounds of 15 hectares, which includes a large swimming pool of 18 x 8m with a pool house.

The interiors have been lovingly and thoughtfully decorated and furnished in a largely contemporary style, with some fine antique pieces, whilst many of the original features, such as the floor tiles, beams, staircases have been retained. Each room has its own separate and distinct personality, and one of them is dedicated to the most famous former owner of the house :  Albert Camus.

The bastide of 500m2 consists of 7 bedrooms, 4 of which have air-con, 6 bathrooms, a large Orangerie used as a living and dining room, a pool room, guest WC, and a well-equipped kitchen.

Staff
Housekeeping is included in the price on a 3 times a week basis, each slot for 3 hours for a total of 9 hours of cleaning per week. Extra hours and a full concierge service are available on request.
